Dr. Tang discovered her passion in medical education in 2007 when she joined Doctors Academy (DA), an international, not-for-profit medical education organisation. She was the undergraduate training program director from 2008-2010 and organized several DA events such as the MRCS OSCE Course and Revision course for medical finals. These courses were very successful and the MRCS OSCE course later received accreditation by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.
She is familiar with the use of multimedia tools for education and published resources for undergraduates. Some of her publications are distributed globally through Amazon and Doctors Academy Publications. She also contributed to the development of webinar for Swansea ABM NHS Trust and Nottingham University NHS Trust.
Dr. Tang volunteers for an international, award-winning organization called Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps in her spare time. She works both as a front-line physician and as an international affairs coordinator, facilitating cooperation between the organization and local authorities. Her medical experience of working in many countries has attracted interviews from TV and radios shows.
She is very keen on promoting health in older people. In 2014, she established a collaboration between DA and Nottingham University NHS Trust, and organized one of the first geriatric teachings for other specialties in the United Kingdom entitled, 'Surgery in the Elderly: Essential Concepts and Challenges'.
As a healthcare entrepreneur, Dr. Tang is always looking for innovative and creative solutions to enhance quality of life for older people. Her latest position is Head of department of homecare medicine in Tang’s medical center, Taiwan. Post-acute care rehabitation, service integration and community engineering are the key services.
